It’s time for a Change

Harness Kent's beautiful sunshine to generate and store your own power. Start saving today using clean, eco-friendly energy.

How Solar Energy Works

Solar energy works by harnessing the power of the sun's radiant energy and transforming it into usable electricity. The process begins with photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, which are comprised of numerous solar cells. These cells contain semiconductor materials like silicon that react to sunlight by creating an electric current. When sunlight strikes the solar cells, it excites the electrons within the material, causing them to flow and generate direct current (DC) electricity. This DC electricity is then directed through an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC) electricity, the type of electricity that powers our homes and businesses. The AC electricity is either consumed immediately within the property or fed into the grid for use by others, depending on the energy needs and setup. Solar energy systems may also incorporate batteries to store excess energy for use during cloudy periods or at night, enhancing energy reliability and independence. Overall, solar power offers a clean, renewable, and sustainable way to generate electricity while reducing our reliance on non-renewable fossil fuels and minimising environmental impact.

Why Solar?

Installing Solar Panels

Clean and Sustainable Power

Solar energy is a clean, renewable resource that leaves no carbon footprint. By harnessing the power of the sun, you contribute to a healthier planet by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and dependency on fossil fuels. With solar panels on your property, you're taking a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future.

Cost Savings and Energy Independence

Say goodbye to rising energy bills and hello to long-term savings. Solar panels generate electricity from sunlight, and any excess energy can be fed back into the grid or stored for later use. This means you can potentially earn money through feed-in tariffs and avoid the volatility of energy prices. With solar, you're in control of your energy production and consumption, achieving true energy independence.

Great Savings & Return on Investment

A typical residential solar installation offers returns on your investment between 15% and 30%  each year! Your money is working so much harder on your roof than in your bank!

Investing in solar panels not only benefits your pocket; it also enhances the value of your property. Energy-efficient homes and businesses are increasingly sought after, adding value and making your property more attractive to potential buyers and tenants.
